SPX Cooling Technologies Expert to Present at World Energy Engineering Congress 2017
Technical Services Manager Mark Pfeifer will discuss energy-efficient operation of cooling towers
Overland Park, Kan. July 10, 2017 – Mark Pfeifer, technical services manager at SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc., a full-line, full-service industry leader in the design and manufacture of cooling towers and other specialized heat exchangers, will present at the “Best Practices in Chiller & Cooling Systems” session at the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) 2017, on Sept. 29 in Atlanta. The conference, held from Sept. 27-29 at the Georgia World Congress Center, will also include former President George W. Bush as a featured speaker discussing key energy issues of global importance.
Pfeifer’s presentation will focus on ways cooling towers provide users with cost savings beyond the inherent energy efficiency of evaporative cooling. He will also provide an overview of the fundamentals behind energy savings with evaporative cooling and discuss additional methods that further increase savings in both water and energy use.
Pfeifer, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, has demonstrated thought leadership for over 25 years, since beginning as a materials engineer at the Marley Company in 1991. He is passionate about the fundamentals of cooling towers and their application to HVAC and industrial projects, and frequently presents on the subject to engineers, architects and contractors. Pfeifer is a licensed engineer in the state of Kansas and a member of the Kansas City ASHRAE chapter. He earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.
